The Flamingo is the Strip's longest-running property and keeps a mid-century pink-and-neon identity, with a garden and wildlife habitat behind the casino.

Its 1946 origins, the neon frontage and the free Wildlife Habitat with flamingos and koi.

The Flamingo opened in 1946, financed in part by organised-crime money and closely associated with Benjamin 'Bugsy' Siegel, who was killed months later. Nothing of the original building survives, but the name has continued longer than any other Strip resort.
