Treasure Island
A Center Strip hotel with a direct link to Fashion Show mall.
HOTEL OVERVIEW
Treasure Island (TI) sits at the northern edge of the Center Strip, joined to the Fashion Show mall by a pedestrian bridge and to the Strip's busiest stretch by sidewalk.
WHY THIS HOTEL IS FAMOUS
Its pirate-themed origins and its position between the Venetian and Wynn stretch of the Strip.
THE STORY BEHIND THE HOTEL
Treasure Island opened in 1993 with an elaborate free pirate battle staged in a lagoon at its entrance. The show ended and the lagoon was replaced by retail; the property was sold out of MGM ownership in 2009 and now operates independently.
